RiverCity Ferries is committed to providing local and Indigenous business and people with full, fair and reasonable opportunity to participate in the supply of goods and to gain employment with RiverCity Ferries.
RiverCity Ferries' first endorsed Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was developed in partnership with Reconciliation Australia and launched in 2021.
This strategic document was developed to honour our commitment to reconciliation. Our RAP provides us with a structured framework to guide practical actions to create an organisation that embraces and incorporates recognition, acknowledgement and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.
For us, implementing this RAP for RiverCity Ferries will promote opportunity and capacity building for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our community – creating real opportunities with real outcomes.
Emma Hollingsworth, a Brisbane based Indigenous artist and proud Kaanju, Kuku Ya’u and Girramay woman, was commissioned by RiverCity Ferries to paint the River Journeys piece for the RiverCity Ferries Reconciliation Action Plan.
